Everyone wants to have the perfect trip. They want to get the best deal, stay at the best hotels, eat the best food and have an enjoyable flight. Much of the success, or failure, of any trip has to do with planning. You can let things ride and under-plan or you can meticulously over-plan your trip. To ensure you have a great trip, the key is to fall somewhere in the middle.

In the days leading up to a vacation, one of the many tasks that travellers have on their to-do list is to get currency for the country they will be visiting. Although it’s always a good idea to get bills of different denominations, many of us make sure to get a large number of $1 bills, so that we can tip our bartenders and servers at restaurants, housekeepers at the hotel and other service providers during our trip.

Public places are full of bacteria and viruses. Whether you are planning a trip to the mall, grocery store or gym, you are guaranteed to encounter germs. However, two of the biggest culprits are airports and airplanes. A recent study looked at the dirtiest places, and the bottom line was that airports and airplanes are dirtier than your home and most public places.

The good news is that there are many beach destinations in the United States that are closer than you think. Depending on where you live, a weekend beach getaway may be only a short drive across the Canadian border or a quick flight down the coast.

When visiting a new city, people often want to see as much as they can during their stay. They want to see the top sights, find the most efficient ways to travel through the city and they want to do it all at a good price.
