When should my baby have health insurance?

Your first days at home with your baby should be spent focusing on your baby and the care he or she needs. A newborn can be added to your insurance plan at 30 days old. It is important that you submit your request to add your baby before he or she is 30 days old.

When you have a Blue Cross health insurance plan, you can focus on getting your baby adjusted and forget about any possible medical bills. With a health insurance plan from Blue Cross, you can protect your health, your family and your finances. If unexpected medical costs arise, you can rest assured that you are well protected for medical costs that are not covered under OHIP.
